This one is a two-parter: 1. Which casino would you NEVER visit again and why????? and 2. Which casino would you really, really, really like to visit if time, money and travel problems were not factors and why????

I can't think of one that I would never visit again unless maybe MGM in Detroit , only because I really don't want to go downtown Detroit again but I'll have to think awhile longer to make sure that's my answer to #1. As for question #2, time, money and travel factors aren't the problems for me but my health problems are what's holding me up. That said, I am still having trouble picking one casino. I just wish I could go back to Las Vegas and I really couldn't pick one casino there. I guess with Vegas though I wouldn't ever go back to Caesar's Palace. I hate that casino. What's your answer, Diz?

Ummmmmm let me think. I cant think of one I would never go into again but the one that I would really, really, really like to go to again would probably be Harrahs in Las Vegas. We stayed there two times and for some reason I have fond memories of that place. I didn't win big but I had a as good a time as I have ever had in a casino while staying and playing there.

To question #1 my answer has to be NONE. There are many casinos around the country that I do not care for and would not even care if I ever step inside them again BUT really there are none that I have said I would NEVER go into again. There are some casinos in AC that I do not care for anymore so it would not bother me if I do not go to them anymore and 1 of them I have not been inside of for over 10 years that I know for sure and 2 others that I have not stepped into in at least 2 years but I would not say I never will go into them again but if so I do not know when I will. The reason I have not been in them for some time is just because they are not high on my list to get to and either don't care for the machines etc. so just have other places I like better in AC so keep going to those casinos. Same with Vegas. There are casinos I do not care for and with all the casinos out there we never get to them all anyway. We usually go out for a week when we were going and we have favorites and we rent a car so we just spend the week hitting our favorite casinos. Question #2, well that is one I thought about what answer to put down and still come up with VEGAS Money is not the problem of why we do not go back to Vegas but the problem is me mostly and the long flight. We have been to Vegas so many times over the years ( since 1987 steady every year ) that now that I am older and have more problems with my feet swelling and such I just hate the long plane ride and don't want to go anymore. If they moved Vegas closer you bet I would be there, no ifs ands or buts but right now I have no desire to get on a plane and fly back there. Our favorite place is the Golden Nugget down town and we are favorites of the down town BUT if money was no problem I think we both would love to stay in a suite at the Golden Nugget. We have only stayed in regular rooms there since we can not afford a suite and never gave them enough play for them to give us a comped suite. Lucky we got a few nights comped in a regular room So staying at the GN in a suite would be what I would ask for and also having a car with a driver at our disposal would be very nice. For this I think I would climb back on that plane for at least one more trip out to Vegas. Would be so nice to get off the plane and get down to baggage claim and have some one waiting for us to drive us right down to the GN and not have to go pick up our rental car etc. YES, for this I would get back on the plane again for the long almost 5 hour flight out to Vegas. I guess this was a dumb answer but really I gave it alot of thought and that was and is our favorite casino other than the Borgata in AC. Who knows if we will go back to Vegas anymore but right now I cannot see me going again but you never know . I learned long ago to never say NEVER *Geri*

I can't really think of one. Many, many years ago, I did hit Slots O Fun in Vegas, and I didn't like it at all--not the cleanest place around, but at that time, they had free popcorn and 75 cent beer. Of course, I did hit my first large nickel machine payout there--I might have to re-think that 'never' thing. I think I would like to go to Mohegan Sun if money, time, health were no objects. Foxwood sounds interesting also. Never been to either place.

I really didn't care for it but if I ever got out to New England again, I would go back. I loved Mohegan Sun though...100 times more than Foxwood. That casino is amazing though how it just appears out of nowhere when you are driving to it. It's huge!! Diz....as dumpy as Slots O Fun was , we still went in there when we used to stay towards that end of the strip. Once we started staying towards the MGM end, we didn't always get down there. The last time I was there, not only did they have free popcorn but there was a server walking around with little sandwiches....I had a roast beef one but I think they had ham, too. It really wasn't bad for a little free sandwich.

Posts: 780 (07/03/09 19:01:47) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Dan and I have been to Foxwoods but not in quite a few years and have never been to the Mohegan Sun up there but we like the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and that is our favorite local casino right now. I do know they have added on to Foxwoods alot more since we have been up there. As for Slots of Fun we use to love that little casino. I use to play black jack there at a dollar table and then a few years later the table was 2 bucks. We use to have coupons for free hot dogs and I remember the free pop corn also and do you remember the free spins at the wheel. Only thing is NEVER won anything but every visit we had to go to the back and take our spin. I use to win once in awhile at the slot machines in there also. After we started to stay down town we stopped going there but back in the late 80's & half of the 90's we were there many times. *Geri*
