Lois had forgotten her player card, and so our first stop was so that she could get one. We made plans to meet at the Island Buffet at 3:30 to get a bite to eat. Then off we went hunting up a machine that would hopefully give us some play. We all went our seaerate ways. At first it seemed like I was putting money in, but, not taking anything out. It was lose, lose, and then lose some more. I went to my favorite area, and tried several slots, before settling at one that I could actually sit a while. It was giving me the bonus several times, and I would get either 15 or 20 extra spins. Before I knew it I was pulling a ticket out for $154. 35, and I only had $20.00 in it. Now I was back to being on the plus side. Maybe even a little bit ahead. Made me happy
........but, that didn't last.
I saw Lois and talked to her for a little bit, and we played the slots together for a while, and then went on our own merry way. I was all over that casino trying this, and trying that. Caught a glimpse of Betty once, but, it looked like she on a mission to find her slot that was going to be good to her.
When we met up at 3:30 for lunch, we found out that none of us were doing any good. The food was good as always. The talk, the laughs, and the friendship, even better. We enjoyed the break, but, after a while, we were eager to get back to the slots. For the next few hours, the three of us spent a lot of time together playing in the same area, sometimes the three of sitting in a row, laughing and acting silly----and, we can be pretty good at that. At one point, I had played one particular slot, didn't do any good, and so I moved over one. Betty sat down at the one I had just played. I told her that I had put $20 in and didn't do any good at it. Well, Betty started getting the bonus over and over, and was doing pretty good, and she thanked me for "warming" it up for her. Eventually, we all separated and went on our way. I was not doing any good, and I knew Betty wasn't. I don't think Lois was doing too badly, I know she had several tickets from the slots, and she was hoping at the end of the evening she would still have them, and maybe even more.
Eventually, when I was sitting playing one of the Hot Hot SuperSpins, Lois came up and asked how I was doing. I said losing, all I'm doing is losing is losing. I asked her how she was doing, and she showed me a ticket, and said, "well, I have this". I said, is that your only ticket? (earlier, Lois had had several different tickets) She said that it was her last one. Well, I could tell she wasn't wanting to play more, and I really didn't either---I figured I had lost enough, too. So, we went by the bar and sat at one of their little couches, and chatted and really had a good time talking about this and that. Betty eventually came up and asked if we had been there long, and I told her not really, but that we were having a nice time "shooting the breeze".
Betty said that she had been down stairs playing and that the slots down
there were really HOT! She said she had been losing but, was winning some of it back from being down there playing. She said that she still had one slot that
she wanted to play before we left. We said that was ok, we were fine. When she came back, she had won another $100. Betty didn't reaaly know how she had
done altogether. I found out after I got home that I had lost----way too much. UGH! Lois didn't really say how she did, but, I know she wasn't a
winner.
The ride home was fun. I guess you could say we were "chatter boxes" going home, too. Well, I was tired, and I think maybe I talked more than others. They love it when I do though, because sometimes I say more than I should. LOL I was home and in the house by midnight, and I did not turn in to a pumpkin.
Wheeling was not crowded when we got there. They did pick up some later in the day, but, I wouldn't really say that they were busy. None of us saw any Jackpots. Wheeling had some more new machines from the last time we were there. Drink service was very good throughout the day. I tried calling Jerry on my cell phone in the ladies restroom, but, didn't get any reception. Later, when Lois and I were sitting near the bar----I had all my bars on the cell phone and had great reception.
I was so surprised. Although I lost, I know I played a lot, too.
Some of the slots were good enough to me that I could play a while. Even cashed out several times and could take the ticket to another machine. I had fun, a
lot of fun.
Oh! When I called Jerry he told me that our printer that we had ordered had come earlier. It is a cheapy, but got great reviews so we thought we would try it. Jerry hooked it up last night, and I have already used it. It is very easy to use, and prints great. What a bargain.
