I was in the Louisville area, so I just had to head across the river and visit my favorite casino--Caesars.
I had about three hours there, so I just looked around and played a little, and actually came home with a little more money (probably because I had a limited time to spend it).
The lobby and top two floors really do look like Horseshoe. One of the employees told me the official switch to Horseshoe would be in mid-July, but their new Horseshoe uniforms and most additional decor will be complete by the end of June. The bottom floor is still not open. The second floor from the bottom is almost all complete, but there were a few "curtained" areas. I didn't really like the make up of slots on that floor. Of course, that is where the temp poker room is now, so I'm sure there will be more changes when the poker room goes to its permanent home on the bottom floor.
I had only "one" big hit (for me), $120 on a ten cent reel spinner. I wish they had more of those as I think I've found my MO--I'm a solid dime player.
I played a bit on several other machines, but the time there ended too fast. I thought I would be home fairly quickly, but as usual traffic was incredible with an overturned truck closing I-64. It turns out no one was hurt, but the detour during 5 o'clock traffic just reminded me why I don't like day trips to Caesars!
