Fridays trip to Iowa was looking questionable when the 60 mph winds where blowing at noon in Mchenry County Illinois but we where determined to go the wife
was little late getting home from the job Comed crews clearing trees.
Well wife gets home at five we jump in car and drive six blocks go back home for purse that she forgot hit road again driving to Rockford past many Comed crews
slowing down traffic once we get on 39 south everything turns for the better no traffic no storms.
We arrive at Isle of Capri at 8 p.m. check in do the buffet and go to casino I see open seat at three card so I get in no big deal not getting ahead but while
I was talking to the other players I find that they are from the same area in illinois that i'm from turns out that they would rather drive two plus hours
to Iowa than go to our local Grand Vic where the table limits are to high and you get nothing for your play.
Well I hit my loss limit at three card and go looking for wife at slot machines she is having no luck I sit down next to her put five bucks in .25 cent 2x3x5x
and hit for eight hundred quarters not being a slot player I take my winnings and head for crap table not much hapening there after a while disapointed wife
comes over and wants to take shuttle bus to Rythem City its now 11.p.m. we stay till 1a.m. win some lose some not much happening there go back to Isle of Capri
where we play craps till 3a.m. winning $800. on someones hot roll then its time to crash.
Day two get up at 8a.m. have breakfast and go to casino no action at table games they dont open till 10a.m. play some slots and head for Mississippi Belle we
cash our money offers and head for the Elvis machines put in twenty and hit for five hundred quarters this is turning out to be my lucky slot weekend.
We grab some lunch at the deli and go to the crap table where I have monster roll winning nine hundred dollars we exit one happy family and head for home
.Thats what I like about craps you dont have to be lucky to win someone else can win it for you.And thats what I like about Iowa more bang for the buck.
Always go with the roll JIM
