I asked my host about the news that alcohol was to be served in the future. He said they may begin serving alcohol as early as August (but he wasn't sure)
and that there would be a charge for it. One of the waitresses told us that she had heard it might be 6 months or longer and that it would start out with beer
and wine. So we'll have to see. I'm not a drinker, so I'm not really thrilled about it, but, except for a few exceptions, it really doesn't
seem to be a problem at other casinos that have always served alcohol, so maybe it won't be a problem at Cherokee either.
Just wanted to update anyone who is interested on the construction progress. I'll post a trip report in the trip report section later this week.

Sounds like it's
really going to be big when it's all done.

I'm probably going to go half way from GB to Cherokee
though since I've never been to Clingman's Dome and wanted to go there. Obviously I can't walk up to that observation tower but I was told, that
even the view from the parking lot is amazing. It's a little scary for me though driving in the mountains since I live in the very flat part of
IN.
